Nigeria team lost its international activity for two years

As a consequence of poor performance at the World Cup, Nigeria's president has suspended his nation's football team from international competition for two years.

According to special presidential adviser Ima Niboro, the decision by Goodluck Jonathan will "enable Nigeria to reorganize its football." He added: "This directive became necessary following Nigeria's poor performance in the ongoing World Cup."

Nigeria lost its first two World Cup group stage matches but still came just one goal short of advancing with their draw against South Korea. As one of the more heavily favored African nations, the early elimination was certainly a disappointment.

Maradona is not a lost bet

Abolished in Argentina, Maradona is the hero of World Cup ! Mad genius has the last word !

Rarely a coach has been so criticized in his own country before a World Cup. Maybe only the French Aime Jacquet in 1998 !

Argentinean mass media named him 'atomic barell'. If something goes wrong, it's his fault of course. There are a lot of accuses pointing him. But Argentina played most beautiful soccer tournament .

Stupidly, the English lost first position

According to 'Kaiser' Beckenbauer, 'stupidly, the English have slipped up a little by finishing second in their group.'

A game like this, continued Beckenbauer, should be a semi-final, not a last-16 game. Of course we respect them, but we certainly don't fear them. England's first two appearances at the World Cup were paltry, but they improved against Slovenia.

North Korean electric systen lost its energy because of football

The latest match of North Korean team against Portugal is reported to be the first time a North Korean game played on foreign soil has been broadcast live back home.

It was a risky decision. Nord Koreans they played so well against Brazil in the last game, so no-one would have imagined that they'd lose so big this time. Finally, Portugal won 7 - 0. But North Korean authorities decided to stop broadcsting when the score was only 4 - 0. They said it was just an electricity failure.

That means North Korean football fans - at least, those with both a TV set and a reliable electricity supply - will be allowed to see live their team's matches at World Cup 2010.

The lost training session was caused by an exixting traitor

He said that the real problem is not Anelka, but this traitor. "There is a traitor among as, and this traitor must be eliminated not Anelka. This Sunday, the captain of France had an altercation with Robert Duverne, the physical trainer of French team. So inevitably the shortcut was quickly made: Robert Duverne is the famous "traitor"?

In a statement sent to AFP, Evra has "vigorously denied" that he considered Duverne as one who revealed to the press the insults of Nicolas Anelka. "I would strongly deny the information relayed by some media that we refused the usual training because we felt Robert Duverne is the traitor we discussed", said Evra before continue and conclude. "This information is not true. We have full confidence in Robert"

French players have refused the daily training to protest against the exclusion of Nicolas Anelka. "All players in the France team, without exception, wish to affirm their opposition to the decision taken by the French Football Federation to exclude Nicolas Anelka," said their press release and continues. "We regret the incident which happened at halftime of the match between France and Mexico, but we regret even more that an event that belongs to the group was mahe public by a person we consider a traiter"

Swiss won, but Migros lost 7.2 million euros

Spain - Switzerland 0 - 1

Swiss supermarket "Migros" offered 10% discount on purchases if Switzerland beat Spain. And Switzerland won a big success.

The success "migrated" the next day to "Migros", the most famous Swiss supermarket chain, headquartered in Zurich.. All supermarket stores were stormed by buyers who have rushed to spot the advantage of the offer. Were completely sold a significant amount of products from all types, several departments looking like they were 'visited' by thieves.

When made their calculations, "Migros" officials found that, indeed, have won customers, but have lost 7.2 million euros from selling at a discount. This is a significant amount who rise the question of expansion of this initiative and when Swiss will play with Chile and Honduras.

People in North Korea lost the match

North Korean supporters could not watch the match of their national football team against Brazil. That happened because the President, Kim Jong Il ordered that the national TV to broadcast a play entitled "Mountain Echo", from Phenian State Theatre repertoire.

It's a comedy "light", which is about the desperate efforts of farmers to boost grain production in a mountain area.

Brazil beats North Korea 2-1 in WCup opener. Maicon and Elano scored a goal apiece in the second half and Brazil broke through a solid North Korea defense to win its first 2010 World Cup match 2-1 on a frigid Tuesday night.

The lost vuvuzela mastership

In an interview for TV Espagnol, the Spanish midfielder Andres Iniesta was presented with a vuvuzedla and asked to give it a blow. Though appearing a bit hesitant, Iniesta accepted the challenge and tried to show the thing who's boss with a chuckle-impaired blow.

The result? Nothing.
Andres Iniesta is not a master of the vuvuzela

Everyone laughed and Iniesta surrendered the horn back to the interviewer, who demonstrated just how painfully easy it is to make it work before handing it back to Iniesta for another go. And, with a mighty puff ... nothing.

Iniesta played it off with more laughter and made like he was going to throw the insubordinate vuvuzela away, but he didn't. The vuvuzela wins again.

Goalkeeper lost the World Cup roster, but is happy

According to the No. 1 site for Ghana soccer, the six players dropped from Ghana's World Cup roster each got a $5,000 "golden handshake."

Some players appreciated it while Laryea Kingston reportedly snubbed it. For the players who aren't making big money in Europe, like goalkeeper Stephen Adams, who plays in the Ghanaian league, the bonus is a welcomed surprise.

Salaries in the local league in Ghana are meager so the goalkeeper is expected to be happy over [the] money even though he could have been massively richer if he made the final squad.

Carlitos Tevez lost his room maid

As each team at Word Cup has 23 players, one needs to stay alone in the room. From Argentinean players, "the kid" Angel Di Maria was initially chosen to remain solo. The situation changed rapidly when the players found that of Carlos Tevez uses to sleep completely naked with the lights on.

When they heard of his habits, other players decided avoided him. Nobody wanted him as a room maid, with a uniform explanation: "I can not sleep next one naked. It's a little embarrassing.

Now "the kid" Angel Di Maria shares the room with Otamendi, and Carlitos Tevez will sleep alone with no room maid.

The lost ball

You might be surprised, but sometimes simple tasks that you've done a million times before just don't work out as you might expect. So, for Brazilian side Internacional's Kleber, the most difficult task in the world on Thursday was kicking (or not kicking) a stationary ball.

Kleber was playing against Corinthians and during the match was faced with the duty of taking a free kick in fantastic position to score. He lined it up and went for the follow through, but then things go haywire. Judging by his charging teammate, it was supposed to be a fake, but judging by how close Kleber cuts it with his booming kick, it's almost like he couldn't decide whether to take the shot himself or set up his teammate. So, he only mostly missed and the ball just kind of dribbled sideways.

The worst news Corinthians won 2-0.

Gearman team and lost anthem

All eyes will be on the players' lips ahead of the last warm up against Bosnia on Thursday at 8.30pm. The German paper Bild reveled just six players sang before the last international.

A row has broken out over whether Germany's World Cup stars should be forced to sing the national anthems before games.

The coach Joachim Löw told Bild yesterday: "Our guys totally identify with the national team and with Germany. But you also need to think of their origins".

Löw meant that many of his squad members were born in Germany but have roots in other countries, including Like Lukas Podolski whose family comes from Poland, Sami Khedira (Tunisia), Mesut Özil and Serdar Tasci (Turkey), Dennis Aogo (father from Nigeria) or Jerome Boateng (father from Ghana).

Their hearts also feel for another country - and so they pass on singing the anthem.
