Goalkeeper lost the World Cup roster, but is happy
According to the No. 1 site for Ghana soccer, the six players dropped from Ghana's World Cup roster each got a $5,000 "golden handshake."
Some players appreciated it while Laryea Kingston reportedly snubbed it. For the players who aren't making big money in Europe, like goalkeeper Stephen Adams, who plays in the Ghanaian league, the bonus is a welcomed surprise.
Salaries in the local league in Ghana are meager so the goalkeeper is expected to be happy over [the] money even though he could have been massively richer if he made the final squad.
