Rooney and Capello have lost the pin

Wayne Rooney hits out at the England fans after they booed the team from the field following the dismal 0-0 draw against Algeria in Cape Town.

The England striker trudged off following an ineffective performance before turning and saying to the cameras: 'It's nice to see your own fans booing you... we've got loyal supporters.'

The result means England need to beat Slovenia next Wednesday to ensure they qualify for the last 16.

Capello also faced criticism from some quarters when it was revealed Robert Green only found out he was playing in England's opener against the United States two hours prior to kick off.
